Development of the railways as an optimal solution in transportation has always been a priority in development planning. Considering Iran’s strategic location, railway developments result in better opportunities of export and reduce the cost of raw materials especially minerals and petrochemicals. Strategic parts of railway projects such as Bafgh-Mashhad, Mashhad-Sarakhs and Isfahan-Shiraz have been constructed by SDM which provided these projects with noteworthy services of on time highly performed implementation.

1987-1988

Golegohar Railway Station
Location: Kerman Province; Client: Iran National Steel Co.; Cost: 450 million IRR; Remarks: In addition of railway station building the projects includes earth works and construction of some bridges

1993-1995

Mashhad-Sarakhs Railway (Lot 4)
Location: Khorasan Province; Client: Ministry of Road and Transportation; Cost: 45,000 million IRR; Remarks: This strategic and important corridor in 4th part includes lots of huge bridges and long tunnels. the first tunnel length is 2340m which is one of the longest continues railway tunnel

Ardakan-Chadormalu Railway (Lot 5)
Location: Yazd Province; Client: Ministry of Road and Transportation; Cost: 10,000 million IRR; This route with 25 Km length and two lanes is mainly constructed to transport minerals,

2001 - 2004

Preliminary and Complementary Contract of Mashhad - Bafgh Railway (Lot 9)
Location: Khorasan Province; Client: Ministry of Road and Transportation; Cost: 80,912million IRR; Remarks: Contract duration and estimated cost include +25% of main contract. The project includes bridges with span 20*24 which were built on 160 piles and pillars, box girder bridges 3*3, and cast in place bridges with span 7*2, and stations including Bafgh station

Mianeh-Bostan Abad-Tabriz Railway(Lot5)
Location: East Azarbaijan Province; Client: Ministry of Road and Transportation; Consultant: Haraz Rah Consultant Engineers; Cost: 203,421 million IRR; Remarks: Contract duration and estimated cost include +25% of main contract. Including a great bridge Span = (2*30m+9*40m) and a tunnel (L=910m)

2005-2008

Isfahan - Shiraz Railway (Lot5)
Location: Fars Province; Client: Ministry of road and transportation; Consultant: Haraz Rah Consultant Engineers; Cost: 834,636 million IRR; Remarks: Contract duration and estimated cost include +25% of main contract. Including a great bridge Span = (1*40m+5*77m+1*60m) and 4 tunnels (L=280,340,350 & 740 m). One of the brilliant works of this project is construction of longest box girder bridge in Iran. The method to implement this bridge is pushing box from the valley bank
